Discover the Top Features of Altitude 40 Carry-On Bag
Good day, Matt from Caribee here! Today, we’re going to take a closer look at the Altitude 40 Carry-On Bag. This category of bag has become very popular in recent years due to its lightweight size and affordable nature. The Altitude 40 is a 40L bag, measuring 55 cm high, 32 cm wide, and 22 cm deep, which meets carry-on size requirements.
As I mentioned, it’s a very lightweight bag and very well-constructed. Let’s take a look at the outside of the bag. It features a quick-access front pocket, which I’ll show you in a moment. This pocket is perfect for storing items you need to grab quickly while on the airline, waiting to check in, or even while traveling domestically or just in the car. You can easily place your quick-access items in this pocket.
The bag has a two-level split compartment design, with the main compartment and a top section on the outside. It also has lockable zips, so if you need to check the bag in during travel, you can secure the contents with a lock. There are heavy-duty webbing carry handles on both the side and top of the bag, making it easy to carry.
A great feature of this bag is the concealable shoulder straps on the back. You can choose to use the bag as a carry-on tote or as a day pack. If you want to use it as a backpack, simply pull out the shoulder straps from the concealed pocket, attach them to the D-rings, and you’ve got a hands-free carry option. When checking the bag in, you can tuck the shoulder straps away, keeping the bag clean and preventing anything from catching on it.
Let’s take a quick look inside at the internal features. As you would receive it if you bought it online or in-store, you’ll find a domestic carry-on tag and a product feature tag. The bag only weighs 1.2 kg, making it extremely lightweight and easy to use.
The front pocket is easy to open with a lockable zip housing. This is great for quick grab items. Once opened, you’ll find a zipper pouch, perfect for smaller items like keys, phones, and more. There are also twin pouches at the bottom, offering extra storage space for your travel needs.
Inside the main compartment, you’ll find a single compression system at the top, which is released with a quick-release clip. Once unfastened, you can access the main compartment, which opens like a suitcase. The 40L main compartment provides great storage potential, allowing you to fit a lot of gear while still meeting carry-on requirements. The compression straps inside can be crossed over or kept side by side, depending on your preference.
The top compartment offers a slim-line design, perfect for folded shirts, smaller travel items, or anything you need to keep neatly organized. It’s a very handy storage solution to keep your items compact.
On the outside of the bag, I forgot to mention that there’s a side shoulder strap that can be disconnected or used. This makes the bag versatile—whether you want to use it as a shoulder bag or as a backpack.
